Solace Paper Mache Vase

The Solace Paper Mache Vase is handcrafted from eco-friendly papier mache and has a chalky, limewash-like texture. Its alluring rounded profile and versatile neutral colouring make it an effortless addition to side consoles and bookcases, infusing character and style. Made from recycled newspapers, they are entirely natural and sustainable. First, the newspaper is mixed with water, and then chalk and tree sap crystals are added to turn the substance into a clay-like material. The pulp is kneaded into chapati-like forms, then rolled and moulded into the sculptural objects we love. There is no firing, no power used, and the process is entirely eco-friendly. Each piece will have subtle differences in finish and these variations are part of the handmade appeal. Porous in nature, papier mache should not be exposed to liquids.
